Check your plant’s identity
Does the label say Hemerocallis citrina (citron or long yellow daylily)? Most daylilies sold are hybrid cultivars, and the lemon lily (Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus) looks similar. True lilies (Lilium) are different plants. If the label is missing or unclear, choose I'm not sure.
Important precautions
All parts of daylilies, even pollen or water from a vase, can cause kidney failure in cats. Keep cats away and call a vet at once if a cat chews any part. The flower buds are eaten in Asia after cooking and drying, but fresh buds have caused poisonings, so do not eat them without reliable food-safety guidance.
Care guidance is partial and depends on your growing conditions. Check the available guidance in the app; this profile does not promise complete care. A representative illustration does not confirm your plant’s identity.
