Lomandra longifolia

Check your plant’s identity

Does the label say Lomandra longifolia, spiny-head mat-rush or basket grass? Many plants sold as Lomandra are other species, such as Lomandra hystrix or Lomandra confertifolia, and flax lilies (Dianella) look similar. If there is no label or it only says Lomandra, choose I don't know; the picture does not confirm your plant.

Important precautions

No toxicity data was found for this plant. The flower heads have sharp bracts and the leaf tips are toothed, so handle with care. Keep pets and children from chewing it, and ask a vet or poison service if anyone eats it.

Care guidance is partial and depends on your growing conditions. Check the available guidance in the app; this profile does not promise complete care. A representative illustration does not confirm your plant’s identity.
